ive got 17 minutes to spare before my first umat exam starts, and i'm currently re-fulfilling my hobby of making envelopes out of comics, and, just today, also melways maps. i've got about seven old melways StAcked (with aesthetic beauty and structural soundness in mind) on my desk. i'm trying to make maps for everybody whose address i have. i'm making "personalised" envelopes. the reason why i put personalised in ditto marks is because these are personalised to their address. example, sam. i mark down her address on the map by putting a dot on it, and cut it out via template, making sure the dot is on the front of the envelope, but orientated slightly to the lower right side of the envelope. then, i grab a piece of thick cardboard, and emboss the address, etc. onto it, and string it through the front of the envelope, in the top left hand corner. then, i grab a permanent marker, and draw from the cardboard to her dot. voila! personalised envelope!

this reminds me of a conversation i had a while ago...
to give credit, and be totally honest, this wasn't an original idea...it came from Art Attack. remember? that show on around 10:30 on abc on school days, which taught art? with that eccentric british guy? he used to do a large-scale art piece at the end of everybody episode...like draw a soccer (or football) player on a football field with a boundary line painting machine? that was so cooliful...
